Contents of the Tour

1   Day 1 Saturday, you will be collected at your arrival destination and comfortably driven to Villa Mas St Jean .... welcomed with champagne .... and a Provencal Welcome dinner.

2   Day 2 Sunday, visit to the market of Isle-sur-la-Sorgue, the most famous antiques village of the Provence. The branches of the Sorgue, little bridges and paddle wheels lend the town a cheerful air, and it is particularly enjoyable to hunt for bargains at Sunday mornings, when the area is taken over by the outdoor fleamarket and a vast provencial market , and all antique dealers are open. You might also enjoy a visit to Fontaine-de-Vaucluse, or Pernes-les-Fontaines, both nearby.

3  Day 3 Monday, your choice; either Arles and Camargue National Parc, or the medieval town of Aigues-Mortes, or Nimês, or Pont-du gard and Uzès, Tavel, etc ...  or all.

4   Day 4 Tuesday, a morning in Vaison-la-Romaine to visit the largest Provencal market in the Provence. Vaison is comprised of an upper medieval town and a lower town of Roman and modern origin, both built on either side of the river Ouvèze. Its rich past will enchant all those who love historical places, with its vast field of ancient ruins, Romanesque cathedral, the old village, the famous Pont Romain, and the castle. In route to and from Vaison you might delight in visiting some of the well known wine villages of Sablet, Seguret, Beaume-de-Venise, Gigondas, Rastau, Chateauneuf-du-Pape, Vacqueyras, .... The drive will reveal to you vistas that open towards the Mont Ventoux!

5   Day 5 Wednesday, St Remy de Provence and Beaux de Provence. In St Remy you will wander around the narrow streets, discovering squares where fountains play and the attractive boutiques and art galleries that make the town's historic centre so lively. Wednesday morning is also market day in St Remy. The village of Les Beaux-de-Provence is situated in the heart of the Massive Alpilles on a rocky 245m high plateau. This immense superbly preserved stone fortress is without doubt one of the 'must-sees' on the Provencal Tourist Trail! Next to les Beaux, don't miss the monumental 'Carrières de Lumières' that host extraordinary multimedia shows that are unique in the world!

after this tour, a 'Candle-light' dinner.

6   Day 6 Thursday, Avignon. Ringed by incredibly preserved 800-year-old stone ramparts, graceful Avignon's past as the seat of papal power bestowed the city with a treasury of magnificent art and architecture, none grander than the massive medieval fortress and papal palace Palais des Papes. In romantic counterpoint, Pont d'Avignon spans halfway across the Rhône. Ancient cobble stone streets are lined with inviting boutiques and leafy squares overflow with cafe tables. this is an abolute 'must' of our Provence tour!

7    Day 7 Friday, Luberon. The Luberon is without doubt France at its finest. A spectacular countryside of vineyards and orchards, fascinatingly 'perched' hill-top villages, outstanding natural produce and the light of Van Gogh and Cezanne. We will visit the villages of Gordes, Abbaye Notre-Dame de Sénanque, Menerbes (known from Peter Mayle's novel 'A year inthe Provence'), Bonnieux, Lacoste, Oppede-le-Vieux and the not to be missed orcre of Roussilon.
